Why not read the info regarding VIVOX? It clearely says it wont effect the servers at all. and only the client a little. So if you have a reasonable updated PC you will do fine. VIVOX wont be run from CCP but from VIVOX!

Because everything that have been launched worked in main? No point waiting with releasing a product if the KNOWN bugs are insignificant. Also remember a lot of the hidden bugs float up under usage. So no one knows before its launched.
And then ofcource you have the serious bugs or faults that must be sorted before launch. Which might be the case with Vivox? Maybe they are doing tests? Take Revelations. All in all it was a perfect launch. Small bugs still making it a little laggy at certain places, but for me who steers away from Jita - the game is as smooth as a babys rear end.
CCP have proved to take this serious. Im in no doubt that VIVOX will do the same thing.

Im definitely going to sign up for it. It have proved to be way better then TS/Vent on SiSi. Not just in quality of codec but also strategically, when planning wars and sieges. You simply have great control ingame! no switching to desktop. No spies entering channel. etc. It will bring war a step closer perfection for sure!

so you get to yell at every corp mate that didn't pay for it? 
because thats how its going to be for anyone silly enough to buy it
Im sure that there will be corporations out there who will have VIVOX as a requirement in the future. No doubt. But seriously, 10 dollar a year is nothing. The quality is top notch and its integration with EVE superb. It will prove to be a a advantage over others who dont have it, so slowly people will come from TS to VIVOX because if your enemy have it, and they get an advantage from it, then you have to follow 
But honestly. 10 dollar a year. EQ2 have special features too you can pay extra for to receive. And thats integrated on their homepage. statical information etc. CCP and VIVOX will give us a dedicated EVE voice channel where the sound quality will overrule TS. I see no reason to stay with TS since it always breaks up and scratches now and then. Some times I miss whole sentences because of it!
Besides.. 10 dollar. thats just 1 beer at a bar here in Norway... And Believe me. I drink more then one beer when Im out..
